Mission The Islamic Association of Greater Hartford wishes to establish Islam as a way of life within the Muslim community, promote it in contemporary American society, and share their vision with other Muslim communities across the country. Purpose and Objectives: The purpose of the Association shall be the promotion of Islamic principles, the preservation of the spiritual well-being of its members, the perpetuation of the faith andΒ discipline of the Islamic religion, and to foster a greater and better understanding between Muslims and people of other religious faiths. The formation of the Association reflects a belief by its incorporator(s) that the teachings of Islam transcend the ephemeral issues of time, place, nationality and current political divisions. The Association shall maintain a Masjid (Mosque), an Islamic Academy of Learning, a Cemetery, and shall be responsible for all Islamic Social Affairs.
