ABOUT US The Central Coast Islamic Center is a non-profit 501C religious organization located in the city of Santa Maria California. The Center Coast Islamic Center was established in 2002 by a small grid Muslim brothers who are living around Santa Maria, Orcutt, Nipomo and City of Arroyo Grande and were looking for a place to gather and worship. Central Coast Islamic Center rented a small office space in the commercial plaza and offered Friday Prayers and Sunday Islamic School. Initially back in 1993 the group would meet in each other’s home for their Friday prayers and other religious activities. However, as the Muslim community in Santa Maria and the surrounding areas grew, the need for a permanent mosque became apparent.
