Our Mission The mission of the Islamic Center of Peoria (ICP) is to establish a place for worship and a place for the community to carry out religious, charitable, educational, and community service activities in conformity with the Holy Quran and Sunnah. ICP will strive to promote and explain the faith of Islam to Muslims and Non-Muslims alike and encourage interfaith cooperation. History of Islamic Center of Peoria In 2015, a small but dedicated group of Muslim families from the Northwest Valley embarked on a long and difficult journey to build an Islamic Center for the rapidly growing community of Peoria, Arizona. This group worked tirelessly and diligently in turning this dream into a reality. By Allah’s grace, many hurdles and difficulties were encountered including the Covid pandemic. However, perseverance and determination became the mantra for eventual success. The project groundbreaking occurred in April 2019 and ICP officially opened its doors in February 2025. This noble undertaking would not have been possible without the consistent and generous support of this community. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “Whoever builds a Mosque for the sake of Allah, small or large, Allah shall build a house for him or her in Paradise”. These words were the inspiration to pursue and complete this noble cause. Prayer is one of the principal pillars of Islam and prayer in a mosque with a congregation elevates the devotion of the believer to even higher levels of spirituality. Our vision is to have ICP as the hub of Islamic activities in the Northwest Valley including daily prayers, a community center with a social gathering hall, interfaith activities and eventually an Islamic school. Please continue to give generously and support this noble endeavor that was collectively achieved by the work of so many individuals. May Allah’s blessings and rewards be with us all.
