Karim-Smith founded Islamic Burial Services in 1994 where she and her staff conducted workshops on the rites and rituals of Islamic Burial to the community at large and sold the Complete Unisex Shroud Kits. We continue to offer those services.   Today, Hawwah A. Karim-Smith is a licensed Funeral Director for the State of New Jersey and Islamic Burial Services LLC is a full service funeral home.   Islamic Burial Services, LLC provides excellent eminence Traditional Funerals, but we specialize in Islamic Funerals.   Our staff of Muslim Men and Women are educated on the ritual wash and shroud. We work very hard to meet the request of the family; hence if a family request same day burial for religious reasons and we are able to accommodate we will oblige.
