Our journey at Human Appeal began in a small apartment in Manchester in 1991 , with a big dream and small steps filled with determination and hope. We have always believed that real change begins in the smallest places and simplest actions. From that humble beginning, we have built a huge humanitarian entity that aims to serve humanity. In 2004 , we took the formal step of registering as a company limited by guarantee, and then in 2014 , we were registered with the Charity Commission, confirming our deep commitment to supporting communities most in need. Today, we operate as a large family of over 173 staff within the UK, over 100 staff in our international offices, and 887 volunteers working with us to achieve one goal: a more just and compassionate world. For over 33 years, our goal has been to be part of the positive change we aspire to see in the world. We dream of a world free of poverty and hunger, where justice and compassion prevail, where no human being remains homeless, no child uneducated, and no patient untreated. Human Appeal is a non-profit humanitarian organization that helps those in need regardless of race, religion or gender. Our areas of work include: Relief: immediate response to natural disasters and conflicts. Healthcare: providing treatment and medical services. Livelihoods: supporting communities with sustainable development projects. Orphan sponsorship: ensuring a decent life and education for orphaned children. Education: building a bright future for future generations.
