About Us Hawilo Grill Hawilo Grill is a 100% Halal barbeque establishment focused on traditional Mediterranean style cuisine with a unique twist. Mohamed Safwan and partners bring the authentic taste and cuisine of Safwan Bakery from Ouzaii (Beirut), Lebanon to the heart of Metro Detroit. Using the best of Lebanese cuisine, the core of Hawilo Grill’s offerings is our special Whole BBQ Chicken, our fresh farm to kitchen shish grill options cooked over an open fire wood grill and our specialty items like our home-made burgers and arrayes. Only the finest U.S.A. produced meat, fresh produce and ingredients are used. Freshness is key; for example, our famous Whole BBQ Chicken is cooked upon order so it’s always fresh! You can truly taste the difference. Our menu features sandwiches, appetizers, salads, and entrees with a variety of sides and drinks. Dine in, take out or delivery are available.
